Surveilance Compromise Survey

Compromise Survey

Survey.jpgISS Training Ltd are carrying out a survey in order to understand more about why compromises occur whilst carrying out surveillance. The results of this survey will be published in various investigative journals, on our website and printed in a new publication on Surveillance and Counter Surveillance.

Contributors to the survey can remain anonymous but anyone providing their contact information will be held in strict confidence. They will also be sent a copy of the reports findings and will be able to obtain a copy of the new book at half price on publication.

Occupational Hazard

It is a fact of life and an occupational hazard that compromises occur in surveillance, even to the most professional surveillance operator. Not everyone likes to admit that they have had a compromise as it can be embarrassing and can be construed as unprofessional. Hopefully, this survey will identify common errors which can be learned from, for the benefit of all those that carry out surveillance work.

Surveillance compromises normally happen due to a number of reasons:
The target is very aware and is actively looking for surveillance or we make him aware, by either acting un-naturally or the target notices you on more than one occasion (multiple sightings).

Compromises not only occur by the target of investigation realising they are under surveillance but also by undue attention from third parties or even being compromised by other members of the team.
