Is someone deliberately trying to wind me up cos’ they are doing a sterling job.

Two CV’s came in over this weekend...... One from a female: no date of birth, did not list who’d she had trained with on her many courses (could have been CP 'R' US for all I know) and she had some blokes name in the Properties box.

The other from a guy just leaving the Army. He had done another companies surveillance course (funny how he is applying to me when his training provider purports to give all of their students work). However, his cover letter stated that he as asking for surveillance work, he had a full CV and in it the only reference to surveillance was his Level 4 Award, nothing else, not even a mention of who he trained with. He did make references to being a Javelin Operator, being au fait with UHF/VHF Comms and being an SNCO which means absolutely sweet FA to the person that does the initial CV sift.

My bin is getting full....

BTW, don’t EVER use any of these phrases or words in your CV.

JNCO
SNCO
WO1
WO2
OP Herrick 6
OP Ninja 3
OP On One Leg
OP It You Knob
Javelin
A/TK
2I/C
CSM / RSM
Comd
CQMS
NBC
ECM
ILRRPs
COP COTAT
CROPS

A civilian recruiter and some employers do not have a clue what they mean and I am sure they are not going to start Googling it.. Help yourself!

BTW, Watch this space for something interesting....
